Sadly, on December 25th, 2021, I lost my precious and loving wife of 68 years. Bonnie had a quiet, understated strength and tenacity that was impressive. She was the joy of my life and my biggest supporter. Our career in PPLSI would not have been successful without her. I consider Bonnie my most valued and cherished blessing.

Twenty-eight years and counting! I started to work steadily when I was a freshman in High School. At the age of 21, I married the love of my life, Bonnie. Through the years I have had over 50 different jobs, including a corporate position as Chief Executive Officer of a major industrial giant! No, I was never fired, demoted or laid off. I was searching! I was a hard worker with talent and ability, experiencing highs and lows through the years.

In December 1993, nearing retirement age at 62, we were really struggling financially. We had sold our house, were down to one older car and had a huge credit card debt. This was not because we were buying things but because we had made poor investments on business opportunities. Then we began living on credit cards — paying the rent, utilities and buying groceries! Yet, our credit rating was excellent. We were never late paying a bill! Bonnie became a master credit card juggler. Filing for bankruptcy never even entered our minds!

Then we learned about PPLSI through Dave Savula and Phil Poukish. Dave had just begun his career with the company. He was excited but we passed on the opportunity. About 6 months later Dave came to see us again, now earning a great monthly income. I said "Dave, I must have missed something the first time. Explain that again, a little slower this time!” With Bonnie's help and support, about 18 months later, we qualified as Executive Directors. That was 28 years ago. My search had finally ended! And YES, we paid off that credit card debt!

Who is really responsible for the amazing success that has come our way? It's our organization! Without them we would not be Ring Earners or Platinum Jacket Earners. Daily, we offer applause, cheers and thankfulness to our team. We also make good use of “The Profiles of Success” to inspire others to work hard to attain this highly valued recognition. Yes, SENIORS can do this!

No one ever knows what challenges lie ahead. For me, there have been many. Consequently, for the past 19 years, my efforts have been limited primarily to supporting our organization with 3 way phone calls and some meetings. In the meantime, we are grateful for the retirement life and legacy income sufficient to support additional health expenses.

Working with PPLSI always provided peace of mind for me, knowing that when my shoes become empty at my house, that Bonnie would still be well provided for. Instead, I will be turning 92 on my next birthday and that same residual income will be taking care of me. Our legacy with PPLSI will eventually be passed on and continue to care for my family in the future.
